HEALTH BENEFITS OF FREQUENT CARROT INTAKE

In my last posting ,I told you about my early morning delight comprising of 4-6 sticks of carrot and three apples.In this posting ,I want to bring to your notice the benefits I get from this morning delight.Eating of this carrot,provides 210%  of average daily recommended amount of vitamin A ,1% vitamin K,6% vitamin C,2% calcium,.The high vitamin A content for which carrots are best known ,comes from beta carotene, which is converted into vitamin A in liver.
Carrots also contain vitamin k,vitamin B6 ,copper,folic acid thiamine and magnesium.when taken as part of a daily diet,the nutrients in carrot, will provide you with protection  against  heart diseases and stroke and also helps in building strong bones and healthy nervous system.Antioxidants in carrots, including beta carotene will play a role in cancer prevention.
Research has shown that smokers who eat carrots more than twice a week have a lower risk of lung cancer .The consumption of beta carotene is also associated with a lower risk of colon and prostate cancer,while the carrot juice extract may kill leukemia cells and inhibit there progression.
Carrots also contain falcarinol a natural toxin that stimulates cancer fighting mechanisms for the body.
Again, because of its vitamin A content ,carrot does magic for the eyes. So with all this benefits see why it is my morning   delight why don't you try it and see.BUT REMEMBER GOOD HEALTH IS A CONTINUOUS HABIT NOT AN EVENT
