Sour sop is a broad leaf flowering evergreen tree native to sub-Saharan African countries that lie within the tropics .Its  flavor  has been described as a combination of strawberry and pineapple with sour citrus flavor notes contrasting with an underlying creamy flavor reminiscent of coconut or banana.The fruit is large and green with an inner sweet white pulp used to make fruit drinks.The bark of the plant is  identified as having the highest cancer cell killing property
Sour sop is also known to be a broad spectrum.antimicrobial agent for both bacterial and fungal infections ,intestinal parasite and worms.It also lowers high blood pressure .Sour sop has a high vitamin C content of about 20 mg per 100 grams of fruit fresh and this makes it an excellent antioxidant to increase endurance , boost immune system and slow the aging process .It also contains  high phosphorus and calcium which is good for strong bones and to prevent osteoporosis.its low Na content and high potassium content is a very good combination for preventing hypertension..In a study published in 1997 in "Journal of medicinal chemistry ,compounds from sour sop were tested on breast cancer cells in a culture and found to be upto 250 times more effective in killing the cells than some chemotherapy drugs.
In this times of increase in cancer infections ,eating sour sop fruits every day is an healthy habit worthy of cultivating.Sour sop is s fruit that should not lark in your home since it can help to attack cancer cells safely and naturally.BUT REMEMBER GOOD HEALTH IS A HABIT NOT AN EVENT.
